I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks on behalf of the Bank Contract team for the fantastic effort and support on the recent successful delivery of the Centera End Of Life Replacement for us. This was a complex, highly focused and time crucial project. We were extremely pleased with the detailed assessment of the existing Centera clusters you provided and presented to the customer. This allowed us to see exactly how the data was being managed and ensuring that the data was in a fit state prior to migration. We were also particularly impressed with the speed of data migrated and synchronised. A total of 38TB‟s of Data was migrated seamlessly and reliably to the new Centera Platform, importantly without risk or service interruption to the business. This was due to the fact at no point during the migration any of the data on the Gen4 cluster was deleted or changed, Reciprocals serevice only copied the data to the Gen4-LP cluster in a safe and secure manner. Compared with traditional data transfer methods, Reciprocals service significantly reduced the migration time and we would recommend this method of data migration to other businesses. It is a great example of how both parties can work together efficiently as a Team and would have no hesitation in engaging with you for future projects.

Reciprocal was drafted in to go over Axis’ specific storage needs and concluded the company’s data usage was unlike anything they’d seen before. Reciprocal’s typical approach is to make the best use of the existing kit or go in for a particular price point, but due to the sheer amount of data Axis generates, that wasn’t going to work – so instead they opted for a complete storage upgrade. “There was some refining and tuning over the course of the next month but essentially it was within a three-month window. We reckon that actually, from placing the order to being 100 percent happy took no more than five weeks. In terms of the impact on the business, we have some fairly stringent clients who will look at our systems as part of their pre-qualification for doing work with us. In the last year alone, we have doubled our revenue, and we are now doing long-form work where previously we wouldn’t have been able to, not only because we didn’t have the storage but because our clients wouldn’t have necessarily had the comfort that all these things were in place.

Marshalls have a long standing relationship with EMC. In that time the partnership has been responsible for a number of major technology refreshes which have been seamless in their implementation and successful in fulfilling the Marshalls business requirements. Given the current economic climate it’s fair to say we had budget challenges with this refresh. To assist in addressing some of these challenges EMC introduced Reciprocal to Marshalls’ to install the VNXe, VNX storage arrays coupled with the migration of the existing Centera cluster to the latest integration of Centera. Whilst the project is still on-going Reciprocal has proven to be most efficient in completing the aforementioned scope of work for which they were contracted. The Centera migration was seamless and completed within agreed time scales the reasons for this are: – a) Reciprocal technical resource had in-depth knowledge of the Centera, kept Marshalls up to date with clear progress reports and dovetailed well with the Marshalls’ technical team. b) The DobiMiner software was responsible for the Centera data analysis prior to migration and subsequent seamless data migration of 22 million data clips.
